The research outcomes of all Sustainable Land Management and Climate Change (SLMACC) projects are publicly available.
2020–2021 funding round results
SLMACC is funding 22 new projects across the 3 SLMACC funds:
- $14.4 million is being provided for 12 freshwater mitigation projects over 4 years
- $2.8 million is funding 7 adaptation projects of up to 3 years
- $800,000 is being provided for 3 extension projects over 2 years.
2019–2020 funding round results
SLMACC is funding 8 projects in the 2019–2020 year. These cover a range of issues such as developing methods for identifying and quantifying risk in the primary sectors, improving the New Zealand Drought Index, and enhancing the preparedness of rural landowners for extreme fires.
MPI regularly publishes reports produced by the SLMACC research programme.
